RE: 14th Update

This week's promise: God blesses humble people

Driven to humility before God responds

"The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they ignored all his warnings. So the Lord sent the Assyrian armies, and they took Manasseh prisoner. They put a ring through his nose, bound him in bronze chains, and led him away to Babylon. But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the Lord his God and cried out humbly to the God of his ancestors. And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request for help. So the Lord let Manasseh return to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Manasseh had finally realized that the Lord alone is God!

2 Chronicles 33:10-13 NLT

I believe the first test of a truly great man is his humility.

John Ruskin

"

Manasseh's example

"Manasseh was one of the most wicked kings ever to rule in Judah. He encouraged his own people to do so much evil that they became more wicked than the nations they had once driven out. God sent warnings through his prophets, but Manasseh ignored them.

Then God sent the Assyrian armies, and they seized Manasseh, bound him with chains and hooks, and carted him off to Babylon (33:9-11). Finally Manasseh came to his senses and cried out to God for help. God in his mercy listened and restored Manasseh to his kingdom.

Manasseh went on to accomplish much for God after that. In his prosperity, Manasseh was proud. In his nothingness, he was humbled and cried out to God. Have you learned to be humble, even when you have much?

Here is Mac’s spreadsheet for this game: http://tinyurl.com/2e4llr

I don’t think Mac is updating this spreadsheet, or if he is, he is updating it with Power Ball figures, and this game contains no Power Ball tickets.

Now it doesn’t really make a difference because we only have three Mega Million Lines, and I can check those easily.

I am glad you all voted to get Mega Millions tickets. Our next drawing is on Tuesday February 5th, 2008. We only have three more drawings in this game.

The Jack Pot for Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 is worth $102 Million. The Cash Option is worth $63,700,000.00.

There were 10 shares sold in this game. Remember this game started out as Power Ball game, and I sold shares at $20.00

Here is what you could win if we have the winning numbers for Tuesday February 5th, 2008.

Older people have problems that we haven't even considered yet!

An 85-year-old man was requested by his doctor for a sperm count as part of his physical exam.

The doctor gave the man a jar and said, "Take this jar home and bring back a semen sample tomorrow."

The next day the 85-year-old man reappeared at the doctor's office and gave him the jar, which was as clean and empty as it was on the previous day.

The doctor asked what happened and the man explained, "Well, doc, it's like this - first I tried with my right hand, but nothing. Then I tried with my left hand, but still nothing."

"Then I asked my wife for help. She tried with her right hand, then with her left, still nothing. She tried with her mouth, first with the teeth in, then with her teeth out, still nothing."

"We even called up Arleen, the lady next door and she tried too, first with both hands, then an armpit, and she even tried squeezing' it between her knees, but still nothing".

The doctor was shocked! "You asked your neighbor?"

The old man replied, "Yep, none of us could get the jar open!"
