RE: 13th Update
This week's promise: God blesses humble people
Content to stay at the back of the line
"God blesses those who realize their need for him, for the
Matthew 5:3 NLT
"
The poor in spirit
"There is probably no living man through whom God has worked more mightily than Billy Graham. Dr. Graham has reached more people with the gospel of Jesus than perhaps any person in history. Yet those who know him best don't usually talk about his accomplishments or the number of people he's led to Christ. They talk of his unbelievable humility.
Several years ago Dr. Graham was interviewed on PrimeTime Live. He was sitting somberly in a chair when the last question came his way: "What do you want people to say about you when you're gone?" His response took many by surprise. "I don't want people to say anything about me. I want them to talk about my Savior. The only thing I want to hear is Jesus saying, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant.'" Then he bowed his head and said softly, "But I'm not sure I'm going to hear that." It was a rare but honest look into the true nature of Billy Graham's heart. In spite of all he's done for the work of the Kingdom, he still sees himself unworthy of God's commendation.
The highest honor in heaven is reserved for those who least expect it. The first in line to receive his blessing will likely be the ones who were content to stay at the back of the line on earth. If you want to know the true strength and power of Billy Graham's life, look at his heart, not his crusade attendances. God doesn't save us because of who we are or what we've done, but because of our faith in accepting his gift of salvation.

Here is Mac’s spreadsheet for this game: http://tinyurl.com/2e4llr
I don’t think Mac has updated this spreadsheet, well as of a few minutes ago, it was NOT update.
But before we get to how much you could still win, because no one won the jack pot last night and it’s gone up, I wanted to share this story with you.
As you know I, also run a pool called J & M Lotto Pool. And they started out playing the same numbers over and over. Since the people in that pool never change members the only thing changed was the money. They put in money whenever they wanted and we bought more tickets.
Now for a small group they did win a lot several times. They had at one time tickets in Power Ball in
Our Mega Millions Tickets always seemed to contain the Mega Balls: 22, 24, and 27.
Last night’s numbers look very familiar to me, so when I got home I went through my old numbers for that pool. (I keep all there tickets, because we rebuy are old numbers when possible.)
The numbers drawn on Friday January 25th, 2008 were:
5 12 22 38 56 Mega Ball 22
What we had at one time was:
07 12 22 38 39 Mega Ball 22
We would have won $150.00 (this group never Megaplies)
| 3 of 5 w/Mega Ball | $150 | 01/25/2008 | 5 - 12 - 22 - 38 - 56 | (22) | Megaplier 4X |
The numbers drawn last night were:
8 23 39 40 42 Mega Ball 24
What we had (at one time) was:
07 23 39 40 42 Mega Ball 22
We would have won $10,000.00.
| Matched | Prize | Date | Numbers Drawn | (Mega Ball) | |
| 4 of 5 w/Mega Ball | $10,000 | 01/29/2008 | 8 - 23 - 39 - 40 - 42 | (24) | Megaplier 4X |
I was sick when I saw that. If we had just stuck with our original plan and keep our 1st three lines we started with we would be $10,150,000.00 richer today.
Now most of those members are with me in other pools. In fact, no one has paid in J & M Lotto Pool for a month now, and that game is scheduled to close on February 2nd, 2008. Our last drawing is on February 1st, 2008 and our Mega Ball is 27, so maybe, just maybe…..
As I said Mac’s spread sheet was NOT update when I looked at it a few minutes ago. The new Jack Pot for Friday February 1st, 2008 is worth $87 Million. The Cash Option is worth $54,200,000.00.
There were 10 shares sold in this game. Remember this game started out as Power Ball game, and I sold shares at $20.00
Here is what you could win if we have the winning numbers for Friday February 1st, 2008. And if 27 comes up and it’s won in
| Shares Purchased | Amount you could win (before any attorney fees, taxes or tithes) |
| .5 | $ 2,710,000.00 |
| 1 | $ 5,420,000.00 |
| 2 | $ 10,840,000.00 |

Dress Temptation
Struggling to make ends meet on a first-call salary, the pastor was livid when he confronted his wife with the receipt for a $250 dress she had bought.
"How could you do this?!"
"I was outside the store looking at the dress in the window, and then I found myself trying it on," she explained. "It was like Satan was whispering in my ear, 'You look fabulous in that dress. Buy it!'"
"Well," the pastor replied, "You know how I deal with that kind of temptation. I say, 'Get behind me, Satan!'"
"I did," replied his wife, "but then he said, 'It looks fabulous from back here, too!'"
