Welcome to the 37th Edition of Mega Millions Lottery Pool. I’ve been doing this for over 37 months, and that means its time to win.
Now I have several rejoins, but most of you have played with me for a long time. I do have one new member, Scott R. Johnson. He works with at Citi, only in Commercial. I met Scott at the bus stop one evening, and told him about my games. He almost played in Game 36, but missed the deadline. So Welcome Scott, I hope you’re my good luck person.
I collected $440.00, which by the way is a small pot, concerning most of my pots are about $450 - $550.00. But, by nation standards, this is a big pot, and I’ve been doing this for a long time.
Now the way we play is I take the money collected and purchase 22 lines for 10 drawings. This means your game will last for 1 month. Mega Millions has their drawings on Tuesday and Friday.

Here is “How to Play Mega Millions” which I copied directly from Texas Lottery Web Site (www.txlottery.org):
1. Pick 5 Numbers
Select 5 numbers from 1 to 56 in the upper white play area of the play board, or mark the "QP" box and the terminal will randomly select your 5 numbers.
2. Pick Your Mega Ball
Select 1 Mega Ball number from 1 to 46 in the lower yellow play area of the play board, or mark the "QP" box and the terminal will randomly select your 1 Mega Ball number.
3. When You Buy, Megaply!
Play the Megaplier feature for an extra $1.00 per playboard and you could increase your non-grand/jackpot prize winnings by 2, 3, or 4 times! Mark the "YES" box under "Megaplier" to select this feature for all play boards on the playslip. The Megaplier number will be chosen from a field of 21 numbers according to the following frequency: 12 number 4's, 7 number 3's and 2 number 2's. Any non-grand/jackpot prize you win on a Mega Millions play will be multiplied by the Megaplier number drawn if you have purchased the Megaplier feature. For example, if you win $250,000 on Mega Millions and the Megaplier number drawn is 4, you would win $1,000,000 ($250,000 x 4) if you purchased the Megaplier feature.
4. Multi Draw Option
For added convenience, you can play your numbers for up to 10 drawings. Mark the appropriate box under "Multi Draw." This will play your numbers indicated on play boards "A" through "E" for the number of drawings you select. Each play board costs $1 per drawing.
5. Grand/Jackpot Prize Payment Option
You must select at the time of purchase how you want to be paid if you win the grand/jackpot prize. Mark the "26 Annual Payments" box if you want to receive your prize in 26 annual installments. Mark the "Cash Value Option" box if you want to receive your prize in one single payment.
Note: If you win and you selected the "Cash Value Option," you will receive the net present value of your share of the grand/jackpot amount, determined the next business day after the drawing. This amount will be less than the advertised jackpot. You must select the "Cash Value Option" at the time of your purchase; otherwise, your share of the grand/jackpot prize will automatically be paid in 26 annual installments. Once you receive your ticket, you may not change your grand/jackpot payment option.
I highlighted the Megaplier feature for you and it’s in read. The Megaplier Ball will come up as 4 more times than any other number. This is to our advance. A $2.00 win, would mean we get $8.00. And some of my past games have won back and more of what we spend. And in Game 34 they won so much money, every got their money transferred to Game 35 – and that game is still going on.
Game 35 had $1.00 left in their bank, so they have 1 ticket in Tuesday’s drawing.

Now, I sometimes save our winnings, and then spend them towards the end of the game. I like for you to have more tickets when the Jack Pot is the highest. And if the Jack Pot gets huge, then I will discontinue the practice of Megplying and buy more lines for the group.

I don’t restrict people in how much they pay me. You can spend $5.00 and buy one-half Share. But, you will NOT get the same as if you have given me $20.00 (2 Shares).

You game my not in on that date. If we win a lot, I may extend the game, so you will have tickets in a higher Jack Pot game. I would love for this game to win a BIG Jack Pot. My personal goal is for everyone who paid $10.00 would win at least $1 Million. So you will see me holding on to money when the Jack Pot is below $44 Million and spend money like crazy when the Jack Pot is over $44 Million. (Remember we have 44 shares sold in this game.)

Speaking of numbers, I have done everything imaginable in picking out numbers. I have done things like selected only even Mega Balls or odd Mega Balls I have purchase tickets with systems, without systems, “Hot Numbers” and “Cold Numbers” I haven’t yet gotten the winning numbers.
Now this time to start I only did Quick Picks. My reason is that in last two games, Game 35 and Game 36, I did only Quick Picks for Game 35 and for Game 36 I selected most of their numbers. For this time, game 35 won on every drawing except two times. And Game 36 win a lot without winning. It appear Quick Pick would give us more money, more money means more tickets and we can play longer.
For those of you not with me, it wasn’t that long ago, I was telling my members that 26 would have to come up. This number was so cold it was freezing. 26 had not been selected for Mega Ball in over 1 year. So in this Game I kept buying lines with only the Mega Ball 26.
I’m sorry, most of my members thought I was crazy, but no one complained with what I was doing. And it took a long time, but 26 did come up and we were rolling with money. Unfortunately we did not win the Jack Pot, but we could win, we had enough tickets to choke a horse.
Now on the last note, you will be getting e-mails from Mac Almond. As I told you before, he helps me with my pools. He maintains a spreadsheet for the group. I would encourage you to open his e-mail and the spreadsheet, because generally speaking he knows before me if we won and how much we won.
If we should win the Jack Pot, please don’t e-mail him or call him, most likely he doesn’t have the winning ticket. And it’s NOT his fault if we don’t win. He is only helping me help this group and keeping you informed of what we have won on a spreadsheet.
And when we win, don’t tell anyone. I mean no one. You wait until you have the check in the bank before you start telling people. I’ve assured every one that they could remain anonymous if we should win. The Trust Fund will protect their names from appearing in print.
I run more pools than just this one, and I will make know to you of any new games I plan to start. But all my games are optional and voluntary, you never owe me money. But, you need to pay to belong to any of my pools.
