Without heroes, we are all plain people and don’t know how far we can go.
-Bernard Malamud
Well I am impressed with this group; we have won in every drawing with the exception of the first drawing!
Now, I took a vacation day on Friday, so I could get all my newsletters done (I’m operating way to many pools right now.) And I still had yet to go to the

Now I already knew how to get there, but I wanted to see what www.dart.org would give me.
And they gave me completely different route. So I followed DART’s schedule. Well I should have printed them, not tried to memorize them.
I caught the 39 Downtown @

I walked over. And it took forever to find the office.
Guys, I was disappointed. I thought it would a huge office, with lots of Kiosks in there so you could buy tickets; they would have every scratch off known to man, with a gift shop, where you could buy T-Shirts, handkerchiefs, play slip holders, and coffee mugs.
Boy was I disappointed. It was like walking into an unemployment office, or a welfare office, a old dentist office, or even a dingy free clinic. I would guess even an
Inside it was tiny, and the waiting room was full. Why were people waiting? Seems to me you hand them your ticket and claim form and walk out with their money. Yeah, right!
The people there are not excited to you, and $600 ticket is nothing new to them. Now, I had filled out the Claim Form on-line, so I was ready, but I did fail to sign my ticket. Well, that is not true, I did not sign the ticket, and until I was told to do so, because I thought maybe they needed to see you sign it.
Okay, then the wait began. They needed to validate the ticket. In other words they want to make sure that I didn’t paint this ticket in Photoshop, and print it at home, then come in to collect $600.00 ticket.
First off I don’t have Photoshop, Two if I did have Photoshop, I would NOT be spending my time on a $600 picture, and Three if they knew how many pools I ran, they would know that I don’t have time to paint pretty fake lottery tickets. But that is just it, they don’t know me, so I waited.
I did soon discover that I was the only first timer in the room. Everyone waiting was picking up more money and this was not there first trip to the
The lady who won $1,000.00 on a Scratch Off was finishing writing her story and singing for the check, and I couldn’t help notice that she had a check for $1,000.00. There was no taxed withheld. That was odd.
When it came my turn they looked and looked at the ticket, then ran it thru one machine, then another. Then I was asked for my Driver’s License. Then it was some more time to wait.
I was then ask to sign some more forms and was given a check for $600.00 – No Withholding were held on it! While this is good new for all of you, its bad news for me. Attached to my check is a 2007 IRS form W-2G Certain Gambling Winnings.
The IRS already has an electronic notice that my income for the year is $600 greater.
This is just another expense for the Lottery Host. As it is now, I have no free time, I have to pay for paper and ink for paper copies, I arrive 1 hour early to work to pass out paper copies, and to go around and collect money.
My hobby is becoming costly. But, I know there will be a day in the future that I will be able to look back and say all of this worth it.
Since I’ve last written you have won more money:

If you wish to be a part to Mega Millions Lottery Pool – Game 36, there is still time. Here is the Web Site for those of you who can not open my doc files: http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=ddn3r8c7_71csq2jb
Important Note
This pot has $1,200.00 in it. We have won $876.00 so far, but we would have to win another $324.00 for me to do another Cash Out. Now, I didn’t think it was possible for me to do the 1st Cash Out. We had never won that much money before.
But, now I’m not so sure. If 26 comes up again as the Mega Ball, we could easily hit the $1,200.00 mark.
Even if we win nothing, I’m going to a 50% Cash Out. $600 minimum will be transfer to Game 36. So if you have 2 share in Game 35, one share ($10.00) will be transfer to Game 36.
Now I have a lot of people who have not paid, and I’m not sure why, because only 8 of you have told me that you were no longer playing. Now, I appreciate you telling me that you have decided not to play; it saves me a great deal of time. And none of you have to tell me why you’re leaving, because all of my games are voluntary and optional, you don’t have to play if you choose not to play. And I thank you for playing with us in the past, and anytime you chose, you can come back.
Unfortunately, if you have not paid for Game 36, then you will NOT be in Game 36, you will be given back your winnings. So if you currently have 1.5 Share in Game 35, you will be given back $7.50.
If we win more on Tuesday, I will be able to Cash Out more than 50%.
Now, you will still have Cash in your bank, after I have done the Cash Out. Remember, this is as though we have won nothing on Tuesday (which isn’t likely).
The remaining $276 dollars in your pot will be played as one draw, straight tickets – no Megaplier, on
I would have prefer to roll everyone over to the new game, but you will remember there are many people who never paid for Game 35, they are still playing with us, and many of them wanted out. They were dreading the fact that I might roll them over to Game 36. I’ve assured them when Game 35 is over they will get no more e-mails.
I never meant to offend anyone. I thought, when I rolled the money to Game 35, everyone would be please. 1) Everyone had more shares, 2) we had more money to play with, and 3) we had a better chance to win.
Well, I think we have done well, we had $1,200.00 to play with and we, so far, have won $876.00. I would be happy with my Lottery Host if he was winning as much as we have been. But, I’ve done this long enough to know that you can not please everyone.
With that being said, here is a list of people who will be leaving us. Now granted they still have time to change their minds, if they so chose:

Changing Emblem
The government today announced that it is changing its emblem from an eagle to a condom because it more accurately reflects the government's political stance.
A condom stands up to inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.
Damn, it just doesn't get more accurate than that.
