Before I tell you all how we did last night, I need to take care of some old business.

For all of those who have e-mail, I included you on my e-mail to the Texas Lottery Commission. For those of you with no e-mail here is the letter I send them:

Question on Multi-Draw Ticket

Wednesday July 25th, 2007

I recently purchased a multi-draw ticket for Mega Millions. I won $600.00 last Friday. I'm told that I need to go the Claim Center to pick up the money. I understand that I will be paying taxes on the $600.00.

My question is: If I go to the Claim Center before all my draws are up, will they give me an exchange ticket?

Thanks,

Michael

It took them several days, but here is the response I got back:

If you purchase a multi-draw ticket and win a prize in more than one drawing, you are entitled, subject to validation, to all prizes won on that ticket. If you choose to claim a prize before all the drawings on your ticket have passed, a retailer or claim center will issue you an exchange ticket that will contain the numbers that you originally selected and be valid for the remaining drawings on your original multi-draw ticket.

I guess the answer to my question is “Yes”. The Claim Center will indeed give me a Exchange Ticket for my $600.00 win.

I have already filled out a claim form, and I have to already lie. One of the questions is: “Is this for a group or individual?

I had to answer “Individual.” I hate to lie, but it would take longer to tell the truth and cost the group more than the $600.00 we are trying to collect.

So, it’s my intention to get up early either Monday or Tuesday and make my way to 1555 Mockingbird Road to see if I can’t get our money. Remember, their will be taxes taken out of the $600.00, so we’re not going to see $600 as our Net Win.

We won $8.00 in Friday’s night’s drawing. The numbers drawn were 07 12 35 54 55 and the Mega Ball was 02. Now I was surprise we won anything at all.

I will tell you that I did breathe a sigh of relief when I didn’t see the Mega Ball 26 come up again. I think before this game is over, we will see it again.

We had no winner in Friday night’s drawing, so the Jack Pot when up to $65 Million. The Cash Option is set at $37,500,000.00.

Your next game is Tuesday July 31st, 2007.

We have 120 shares issued in this game. We should be dividing the Cash Option Sum, by 120 to get the per share ratio.

I do have one rejoin who has already paid for Game 36, so it will start on Friday August 10th, 2007

If you want to play in Game 36 you will need to have your money to me no later than Thursday August 09th, 2007.

The membership list for Game 36 is attached.

As of my last newsletter, I had announced two Power Ball Lottery Pools. One in Kentucky, and the other was in Louisiana. Well, I was right on the money for the Louisiana Power Ball Lottery Pool – I had the dates all correct.

However, I was off the mark with my Kentucky Power Ball – Cordelia is leaving for Kentucky on Friday August 3rd, 2007. One Week before Barbara Sykes leaves for Louisiana.

So for Kentucky Power Ball Lottery Pool the start date is either Saturday August 3rd, 2007 or that following Wednesday August 8th, 2007. She is going to try to purchase the tickets on Monday while head back to Texas.
