Welcome to Mega Millions Lottery Pool – Game 35

Did you realize that I have been running this pool for over 3 years. Maybe this time, we will do want we sent out to do on Game 1.

I have 59 Members in this group. And that is not my largest group. But, I collected $1,200.00 for this pool. And the majority of you have 2 or more shares.

For you new members, let me tell you what happened. Game 34 had won $581.00 total. I was without a computer, so I didn’t spend their money. They only got about 4 or 5 updates, because it took me, for what seems like forever, to get my computer back.

Game 34’s shares were 560 ($560.00)

Game 34 won $581.00.

I subtracted the $560.00 from the winnings of $581.00 and Game 34 play on $21 worth of tickets on Tuesday Night. They did not win anything, so I closed the game. But, everyone who paid to be in Game 34 is now in Game 35.

Game 34 shares of 560

I collected in Game 35 $640.00 (Which by the way is good pool all by itself.)

$560.00 + $640.00 = $1,200.00. This means 1,200 shares were issued in this game. Each Share is priced at $10.00.

So if you paid $20.00 in Game 34 and then paid $20.00 for Game 35, you now would have a total of four shares in this current game.

I purchased 60 lines of numbers for 10 drawings, all tickets are Megaplied. Your game will last from Friday, July 06, 2007 to Tuesday August 7th, 2007.

Now you have a lot of numbers, so I expected you to win something on each drawing. Any money I get pick up from the store will be turned back into more numbers for this pool.

Here are some rules for my new members. This comes directly from www.txlottery.org::

  • Mega Millions jackpots start at $12 million!
  • Second-tier prize amount is $250,000! If you play Megaplier™ and a 4 is drawn, you could win $1,000,000!
  • There are 9 ways to win!
  • You can always ask your Texas Lottery retailer for a Quick Pick and the terminal will pick all your numbers for you!
  • Drawings are broadcast each Tuesday and Friday at 10:12 p.m. CST.

1. Pick 5 Numbers
Select 5 numbers from 1 to 56 in the upper white play area of the play board, or mark the "QP" box and the terminal will randomly select your 5 numbers.

2. Pick Your Mega Ball
Select 1 Mega Ball number from 1 to 46 in the lower yellow play area of the play board, or mark the "QP" box and the terminal will randomly select your 1 Mega Ball number.

3. When You Buy, Megaply!
Play the Megaplier feature for an extra $1.00 per playboard and you could increase your non-grand/jackpot prize winnings by 2, 3, or 4 times! Mark the "YES" box under "Megaplier" to select this feature for all play boards on the playslip. The Megaplier number will be chosen from a field of 21 numbers according to the following frequency: 12 number 4's, 7 number 3's and 2 number 2's. Any non-grand/jackpot prize you win on a Mega Millions play will be multiplied by the Megaplier number drawn if you have purchased the Megaplier feature. For example, if you win $250,000 on Mega Millions and the Megaplier number drawn is 4, you would win $1,000,000 ($250,000 x 4) if you purchased the Megaplier feature.

4. Multi Draw Option
For added convenience, you can play your numbers for up to 10 drawings. Mark the appropriate box under "Multi Draw." This will play your numbers indicated on play boards "A" through "E" for the number of drawings you select. Each play board costs $1 per drawing.

5. Grand/Jackpot Prize Payment Option
You must select at the time of purchase how you want to be paid if you win the grand/jackpot prize. Mark the "26 Annual Payments" box if you want to receive your prize in 26 annual installments. Mark the "Cash Value Option" box if you want to receive your prize in one single payment.

Note: If you win and you selected the "Cash Value Option," you will receive the net present value of your share of the grand/jackpot amount, determined the next business day after the drawing. This amount will be less than the advertised jackpot. You must select the "Cash Value Option" at the time of your purchase; otherwise, your share of the grand/jackpot prize will automatically be paid in 26 annual installments. Once you receive your ticket, you may not change your grand/jackpot payment option.

Mega Millions Prize Chart

Overall odds are 1 in 40. The prize pool is estimated to be 50% of Mega Millions sales, but may be higher or lower based upon the number of winners at each guaranteed prize level, as well as the funding required to meet the advertized jackpot. * The grand/jackpot prize is pari-mutuel and will be divided equally by the number of grand/jackpot prize winners. ** For any drawing, if prize liability exceeds the lesser of 300% of Mega Millions sales or sales plus $50 million, then these prizes become pari-mutuel. *** These amounts may be lower if any Mega Millions prize amount is paid on a pari-mutuel rather than guaranteed prize basis.

Tickets for prizes over $999,999 must be claimed in person at the Texas Lottery Commission Headquarters in Austin. All jackpot prizes must be claimed at the Commission Headquarters in Austin regardless of the prize amount. Call 1-800-37-LOTTO for details on how to claim these prizes.

Tickets must be claimed no later than 180 days after the draw date. Tickets, transactions, players, and winners are subject to, and players and winners agree to abide by, all applicable laws, Commission rules, regulations, policies, directives, instructions, conditions, procedures, and final decisions of the Executive Director. The player shall be bound to all applicable provisions in the Mega Millions Finance and Operations Procedures. The player agrees, as its sole and exclusive remedy, that claims arising out of a Mega Millions ticket can only be pursued against the party lottery of ticket purchase and litigation only maintained within the state where the ticket was purchased and only against the party lottery that issued the ticket.

Now with that being said, I need to tell you that we could win over $600.00 and I could pick up the money at Kroger. If the winnings are separate tickets, but the total is over $600.00, I can still get our cash. For explain, if we win $450.00 on 1 ticket, $40.00 on another, and then another $450.00 on the third ticket, we would have won $940.00. But, since all the winnings were three different tickets, I would be able to collect all the money and pour it back into the pool.

A Word About Your Tickets

I went to breakfast on Wednesday, July 4th, 2007 at Café Brazil. And I spend a long long time with all my spreadsheets, all the previous tickets from Game 34. Game 34 had won on every ticket, except one. I used all those numbers. I used the permanent numbers we have for Mega Millions (members have given me numbers to play for them).

After that, here is the format I used:

1. Numbers from Game 34

2. Numbers from Game 34

3. Numbers from Game 34

4. Numbers with Mega Ball 26

5. Quick Pick

I was determined to have 26 as out Mega Ball over and over again. The reason is simple. The last time we was 26 as the Mega Ball was on February 7th, 2006. That is over 1 year that we have seen it. It’s the coldest number in the group of 46 numbers. It can’t stay cold forever.

It was two games back that we saw 41 go from a cold number to a hot number. It was drawn 3 times in row: February 9th, February 13th, and February 16th. We have not seen it since.

Now I was distracted while eating and doing our numbers, this has always happened and most likely will continue to happen in the future. So I made a lot of mistakes.

When I tried to run the tickets were play slips were invalid, I had mistakenly marked six numbers where there should have been five. On those play slips, I just void out the line, and then ran another ticket (1 line) with the Mega Ball 26. You have lots of 26 as your Mega Ball.

My last mistake was a big one. And I really hate telling you all this. While copying our numbers I copied 3 lines twice:

07 14 25 36 53

16

07 25 36 46 53

04

14 42 43 44 45

23

Now if by chance one of those numbers is drawn as the wining numbers, then it will show Mega Millions has two winners. But we have both numbers, so it will not affect our winnings.

But, I really hate losing three lines to duplicate numbers; I mean I really hate it.

Now you will get updates from me at least once a week. I normally work Sunday through Thursday. I’m off Friday and Saturday. So, normally I would not do an update for Tuesday’s drawing. But if we win a lot on Tuesday, you could get an update on Friday, then again Saturday.

Mac Almond, who lives in Austin, Texas, has been doing spreadsheets for the Mega Millions Games. Everyone who has e-mail may get an e-mail from him with the spreadsheet attached, so you could know of how much we won before you hear from me.

Now understand that Mr. Almond is player just like you. In the event that we win, I don’t call or e-mail him asking when you’re getting your money. He works from the same copies you have, and he doesn’t have the original tickets.

Now Mac’s e-mails always tell you that the results are unofficial. I can tell you that he has not made a mistake, since he has been doing them for the Mega Million group. I am so impressed with the spreadsheets, that I plan on printing them for the paper copy members (people who do not have e-mail).

We are a group of people, and all tickets belong to the group. If you gave me a number to play for you, it is not longer yours; it’s the group’s ticket. You will only get paid for the shares you purchased.

We only purchase Cash Option tickets. I hear people all the time saying the Jack Pot is worth $126 Million. That figure is only good for the people who purchased annuity base payments. Mega Millions pays the winner of an annuity payment ticket over 26 years. We purchase Cash Option tickets, so we get less money right off the bat. While, I will publish both numbers, you will see your payout in Cash Option amounts.

Now, if God answers my prayers, I would like to see this Jack Pot roll and roll to say about $280 Million. I do not want this Jack Pot to go over $300 Million. When that happens, usually when that happens more than one person wins the Jack Pot. I have so many people; I want us to be the sole winners of the Jack Pot.

With that being said, here is the payout in this game:

Friday, July 6th, 2007: The Jack Pot is worth $126 Million. The Cash Option is worth:

$71,500,000.00

Here is chart of shares purchased; you will need to check the Membership to see what your shares are: and the figures are before any attorney fees, taxes or tithes.

There were 1200 shares issued this game.

I purchased five shares in the last game, and I planed on purchasing five shares for this game. I had several people promise to pay me yesterday but did not. I had already purchased these tickets, so I was forced to buy their tickets.

And I admitted people into the game on Thursday and Friday, so your receipt shows 1140, but you have $1,200.00 worth of tickets. Hence, the reason this newsletter is getting out so late. I’ve been working on it for three days!

I need to get my mailing list done, and I can send this newsletter out, before the drawing takes place. I most likely will be asleep with the drawing occurs, but I made plans to do breakfast out, and will check out tickets tomorrow.

Good Luck,

Michael
